Customer experiences paint a layered picture of Miguel’s. Many praise the attentive service and polite staff who enhance the dining atmosphere with genuine hospitality. For instance, Kaytee Robinson commended the “best service” received, noting how it enriched her group’s weekend. M E echoed this sentiment, highlighting the well-paced service and generous portions that invited leftovers, signaling good value without sacrificing quality. However, not every visit met expectations; some, like Becky Hart, found the textures and flavor profiles less aligned with their standards for Mexican fare, pointing out areas where ingredient execution fell short, particularly in dishes like the bean burrito and steak taco.

The restaurant’s approach demonstrates a clear commitment to capturing the essence of Mexican flavors while accommodating a varied audience that includes seafood lovers, vegetarians, and those with a taste for classic Mexican-American specials such as Chicken Sandwiches and Philly-style Pollo or Steak. The overall positive consensus revolves around flavorful meals served in a clean, well-ventilated environment with a staff eager to please, fostering a welcoming mood.

Whether seeking a lively spot for a casual dinner or a weekend outing with family, Miguel's Mexican Restaurant offers a well-rounded experience in West Baden Springs. My friend and I took the French Lick trolley from the hotel to this restaurant as it was recommended to use it for a nice dinner. We are from Chicago and we have a lot of Mexican restaurants here and I realize there are a lot of 5 star reviews so maybe we came on a bad day or we have a specific way we are used to our Mexican food anyway our food was not what we were hoping for especially after being told it was good food. I ordered a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada along with a Miller lite beer. My friend ordered a steak taco and a margarita. The steak in the taco was very grisly. She didn't eat most of it and there wasn't a lot of flavor. The margarita was just okay. My bean burrito was basically a bean gravy. The beans were just watery. There were no actual beans in it. It was more like a wet gravy and it just poured right out of the shell. The cheese and the enchilada was not enchilada cheese. I think it was yellow cheese which is not normally what we have an enchilada. Overall, we were not so excited about our food. The atmosphere and the service was good and everybody was friendly. The menu was a great menu and had a good selection but overall this restaurant it just wasn't for us.

The food and service at Miguel’s is awesome. Although we’ve only been there one time, it was a very positive experience. I’m not sure what our waiter’s name was, but he took care of our needs (ordering, bringing chips and salsa, and offering drink refills, bringing the check) without hovering. Excellent service. The general atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. Not too quiet and not too loud. The food was very good. I ordered some sort of sampler type of platter and it was huge. Needless to say, the leftovers I took home were great. I would recommend visiting Miguel’s to anyone looking for a sit down meal. I look forward to returning!

My Little Princess and I stopped by for an evening meal and we selected Carnitas and the Special Dinner. We also had a margarita and a beer. The food was very good. The server, well, he was very polite, but needs some schooling in customer service. Would we dine at this restaurant when in the area in the future? Most certainly. The meal was very enjoyable.

This was the our first visit and our waiter was awesome! He totally got what kind of Margie I wanted. It was very yummy. My husband had best taco salad he's ever had and I had the chimichanga, deep fried like I love.

I went here on Thursday afternoon with my daughter and her grandchildren. The food was great, and the service by our waiter was top notch. The man was very understanding of everything we asked from him, and very understanding of the daughters rambunctious children. An easy five stars.
